To flash anything else but stock ROMs provided by huawei you will need a custom recovery. To deploy a custom recovery image onto your device, just like before, you turn off your device (btw. you need to have fastboot disabled, look under settings - display) then turn it on with both the volume up and volume down button pressed and hold. If you upgraded your phone with a stock upgrade before, don't forget to delete the dload folder beforehands, or remove the sdcard from the device. Once you get a purple screen connect the device to a computer and find the disk that contains the "image" folder. In it you'll find a recovery.img file, rename it, and put the new recovery.img in its place.

The recovery image thats linked most everywhere else does crash a few minutes after booting into it, at least for me, which does not give one enough time to make nandroid backups or flash complete custom ROMs. Therefore I recommend using above one.
